Democrats in Pennsylvania’s Bucks County are miffed at campaign signs in the area which refer to them as “groomers,” “radicals,” and say they “bring chaos” to the local school district.<\/p>\n
According to The Philadelphia Inquirer<\/em><\/a>, the signs are “inflaming an already bitter battle” in the election season, “which have focused on culture-war issues and personal attacks.”<\/p>\n One sign reads “Hey Democrats! Groom dogs not kids! Schools teach academics not porn,” while another notes a candidate \u201csupports sexually graphic books for minors\u201d and \u201cwon\u2019t protect girls\u2019 sports\/safe spaces!\u201d<\/p>\n Yet another claims a candidate supports defunding the police and “Marxist BLM [Black Lives Matter].\u201d<\/p>\n State Senator Steve Santarsiero, the Democrat chairman, says the Central Bucks School District-related placards are “defamatory,” but he and his party are going after them on a technicality: State law requires any sign which \u201cexpressly advocates the election or defeat of a candidate\u201d indicate who paid for it.<\/p>\n Some of the signs don’t have this, while others read \u201cPAID FOR BY: LetsGoBrandon.com.\u201d<\/p>\n A hedge fund manager “associated” with that website said he had no knowledge of the signs but added “they sound funny and on brand.”<\/p>\n MORE:<\/strong> The Left is certifiably insane when it comes to \u2018book bans\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n In August, some community members also were outraged by mailers featuring explicit images from the books “Gender Queer<\/a>” and “This Book is Gay.” The Republican-controlled Central Bucks School Board banned these books last year, a move Sen. Santarsiero opposes. He explained his reasons here<\/a>, of which Senate Bill 7<\/a> is a big component.<\/p>\n
