All should &#8220;resign immediately,&#8221; Stefanik <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepStefanik\/status\/1732138663608271149\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>, as a result of their answers.<\/p>\n<p>MIT President Sally Kornbluth said it would if the comments were &#8220;targeted at individuals.&#8221; Kornbluth said that calls for &#8220;intifada&#8221; could be &#8220;antisemitic depending on the context, when calling for the elimination of the Jewish people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, her university <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecollegefix.com\/using-trans-persons-birth-name-is-violent-act-mit-module\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">currently teaches<\/a> faculty and staff that using a gender-dysphoric person&#8217;s actual name instead of their new chosen name is a &#8220;violent act.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Penn&#8217;s president made similar statements.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If the speech turns into conduct, it can be harassment,&#8221; President Liz Magill said at the hearing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am asking, specifically calling for the genocide of Jews, does that constitute bullying or harassment,&#8221; Rep. Stefanik asked.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If it is directed and severe or pervasive, it is harassment,&#8221; Magill said. &#8220;So, the answer is yes,&#8221; Stefanik said. &#8220;It is a context-dependent decision Congresswoman,&#8221; the Ivy League president said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Calling for the genocide of the Jews is depending on the context,&#8221; the Republican congresswoman said.<\/p>\n<p><script>!function(r,u,m,b,l,e){r._Rumble=b,r[b]||(r[b]=function(){(r[b]._=r[b]._||[]).push(arguments);if(r[b]._.length==1){l=u.createElement(m),e=u.getElementsByTagName(m)[0],l.async=1,l.src=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/embedJS\/ugavb5\"+(arguments[1].video?'.'+arguments[1].video:'')+\"\/?url=\"+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+\"&args=\"+encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify([].slice.apply(arguments))),e.parentNode.insertBefore(l,e)}})}(window, document, \"script\", \"Rumble\");<\/script><\/p>\n<div id=\"rumble_v3xabij\"><\/div>\n<p><script>\nRumble(\"play\", {\"video\":\"v3xabij\",\"div\":\"rumble_v3xabij\"});<\/script><\/p>\n<p>After a brief exchange, President Magill said the speech could become harassment if &#8220;the speech becomes conduct.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Conduct meaning committing the act of genocide,&#8221; Stefanik asked.<\/p>\n<p>She then turned to Harvard President Claudine Gay who gave a similar answer about context and the comments being &#8220;targeted at an individual.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s targeted at Jewish students, Jewish individuals,&#8221; Stefanik said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I will ask you one more time, does calling for the genocide of the Jews violate Harvard&#8217;s rules of bullying and harassment, yes or no?&#8221; the New York congresswoman said.<\/p>\n<p>Gay said it could depending on &#8220;the context&#8221; if it includes &#8220;bullying, harassment, or intimidation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Asked to confirm the language then does constitute &#8220;bullying,&#8221; President Gay said it &#8220;depends on the context.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It does not depend on the context, the answer is yes, and this is why you should resign. These are unacceptable answers across the board,&#8221; Stefanik said.<\/p>\n<p>The answers drew criticism from Israel supporters.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jews on these campuses need to leave. These Nazis are done with us,&#8221; <em>Jewish News Service<\/em> editor Caroline Glick <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CarolineGlick\/status\/1732159222186414281\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a> on X. &#8220;We need to be done with them &#8212; except for the lawsuits. Those need to be filed one after another, after another, until they are bankrupt. We can&#8217;t win them back.
