Breitbart<\/em>\u00a0reports that numerous states are trying to push back against the new federal Common Core curriculum regulations:<\/p>\n

The state that has scored the biggest win against the Common Core standards is Oklahoma where Gov. Mary Fallin (R), though chair of the National Governors Association \u2013 one of the developers and owners of the standards \u2013\u00a0signed a bill that repealed<\/a>\u00a0the standards in her state and returned Oklahoma\u2019s public schools to their prior standards.<\/p>\n

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) has also\u00a0signed a bill requiring her state to replace the Common Core standards<\/a>. It remains to be seen what the \u201creplacement\u201d standards will look like.<\/p>\n

In other states, such as\u00a0Indiana<\/a>, where Gov. Mike Pence (R) claims to have \u201crepealed\u201d the Common Core standards but actually simply \u201crebranded\u201d them with another name, anti-Common Core grassroots groups continue to push their message to get the standards repealed.<\/p>\n

Gov. Bobby Jindal<\/a>\u00a0(R) in Louisiana, who was previously in favor of the Common Core standards, is now actively trying to remove his state from their hold.<\/p>\n

In Missouri and North Carolina, lawmakers are also working on ways to replace the Common Core standards…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
