As the Daily Northwestern\u00a0reported<\/a>, last Monday around 120 students stuck around after class for an optional demo of a sex toy, called a “fucksaw.” The 600-person class, the Daily noted, is notorious for controversial\u2014and optional\u2014after-class guests.<\/p>\n Most of those panels, though, don\u2019t involve naked people on stage. In this instance,\u00a0according to<\/a> the Chicago Tribune, a guest lecturer narrated as a woman\u2014unclothed\u2014and her male partner (neither of them students) took the stage. The guy on stage proceeded to penetrate her, with \u201ca device that looks like a machine-powered saw with a phallic object instead of a blade,\u201d the Tribune reported. Or, more succinctly, from the Daily: \u201ca motorized phallus.\u201d<\/p>\n The demonstration came in the context of a conversation about sex toys and female orgasms\u2014the latter of which was apparently achieved. So far, the administration and student groups have registered surprise, but no serious outcry yet (aside from another Northwestern-related\u00a0Gawker post<\/a>\u2014apparently NU\u2019s multiple Gawker appearances prove that we\u2019re \u201cAmerica\u2019s Greatest University\u201d).<\/p>\n Bailey did not wish to comment to the Chronicle, but he did pass along this statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n
